Endorsed by Planned Parenthood Votes! CT and Reproductive Equity Now
Reproductive healthcare has always been personal to me. My father was an OB-GYN who spent most of his career practicing in the Bronx, caring for women from all walks of life, including many who could not afford the care they needed. He taught me the importance of ensuring women have access to qualified, compassionate healthcare providers and can make deeply personal medical decisions with their doctors.

We are living through a genuinely dangerous moment. Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, state legislatures have become the last line of defense for reproductive healthcare. Connecticut has done important work — including passing the Reproductive Freedom Defense Act to protect patients and providers from out-of-state legal attacks and to improve access to services. But those protections only hold if the people we send to Hartford are willing to fight for them. Our current state senator didn’t — he voted against it.
I’m proud to have earned the endorsements of Planned Parenthood Votes! Connecticut and Reproductive Equity Now — organizations that know exactly where I stand and know I won’t waver when it matters.

Compare that to my opponent. When asked directly at a 2020 League of Women Voters debate whether he’d support codifying Roe’s protections in Connecticut’s constitution, he said, “I have not finished my thought process on where I land on this,” and needed more time to form an opinion — on a fundamental question about whether women should control their own bodies.
I don’t think this is a hard question. When someone asks, “Will you protect a woman’s right to reproductive care?” — for me, the answer is yes.
At a moment when fundamental rights are being stripped away state by state, Connecticut needs legislators who show up ready to fight. I’m asking for your vote to be your state senator so I can keep doing that critical work.
