People over politics

•

Lately, politics have become too much about picking a side. That’s not how I approach public service.

I believe in listening, looking at the facts and making decisions based on what’s best for the people I represent — not governing from the extremes.

That’s how I led Greenwich’s finance board. I worked across party lines and was unanimously elected by both parties to serve as chair. As a leader, I don’t ask whether an idea comes from a Democrat or Republican. I ask whether it makes sense and if it’s right for the town.

I’ll bring that same approach to Hartford.

Here’s what I believe is important: practicing fiscal discipline and keeping taxes low; supporting strong public schools; fostering a healthy business environment; protecting local zoning; and taking care of our neighbors.

I’m not running to represent the left or the right. I’m running to represent you. And I hope to have your vote on November 3rd to be your next state senator.
